Re: oxygen sensor

Early RS models did not have the sensor
M '93 did not and I just fitted the aftermarket exhaust (GPR) withe the supplied plug in the sensor hole.

Re: Shock advice

I have a standard r1100rt shock here that measures 360 centre to centre The extra 10mm at the shock will give you about 30mm at the axle As Herb said, loosen the locknut and wind it out (the bottom yoke) by 10mm , then mark it and wind it out fully just to make sure there is sufficient thread still ...

Re: Anyone own a R1200GS yr 13-17

Agreed,
I used to drive my old '56 mk8 Jaguar on worse roads than most GS riders tackle.
The thought of actually going properly off road on a 250kg plus bike is not appealing to me.

Re: R1100S Output Shaft Seal Woes

You are sure it's leaking around the shaft not the outside of the seal to the housing?

Re: R1100S Output Shaft Seal Woes

A scratch on the shaft?
A seal is only as good as the surface it mates to.

I have no idea of what any of your motivations are
At one stage you issued a challenge to prove that fontana was bikesnbones, I like a puzzle and now consider it proven

Re: Deleted

Oh that is you, I thought it was someone impersonating you, apologies for the rogue comment. I assumed, since you had denied any link to a person called Bikesnbones that it could not be you since devonrider is clearly bikesnbones http://www.gtsclub.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3380&p=2571...

Re: R NINE T Racer 1,500 mile review

Nice try Herb, but that was Bikesnbones who claimed ownership of both a R1200S and an R1200C Fontana has nothing at all to do with Bikesnbones aka Devonrider aka Bikesnbones50 (ebay) aka andyals@t-----i.co.uk He has told us so There is however some rogue currently posting as Devonrider at BM bikes w...

Re: Pub Ban

Over here, due to problems with drugs, violence and intimidation, we have bans on the wearing of outlaw bike "colours" or the display of club tattoos in some venues.
But just on the mode of transport to get to the pub........

Re: Harleywobble!

If you read the video description, what is REALLY stupid is that the rider knew his bike was having wobble problems every time he got up to speed, but persisted in pushing on regardless.

Re: BMW Naked Roadster comparison

Thanks, that's a good article
Bmw seem to have most segments of the market covered

I could see myself on a new R1200RS but a S1000? I'd either kill myself or use so little of the performance that it would be a complete waste.

But I don't own a pair of slippers or a pipe
