Re: Not bad for a cafe racer made from a R11S
Could have just bought a Rockster and been most of the way there.
Yes I would imagine the individual K&N's would be detrimental to engine performance through loss of Ram effect.
Could be worse they could have installed Carbies

What ya got against BEARDS, I've had one most of my life, so does my son and he's hardly Hipster.
I agree the bike is an abomination totally ruined and terrible prejudice against the r1100s in the article.

Re: Britains biggest motorcycle challenge Rant
Gibsons are overrated.
I build and repair guitars, Gibsons are nothing special, these days the other brands have caught up.
At one stage I had 3 Gibsons, I only have a '54 ES125 left and that will be up for sale soon.

Re: Fancy a Ducati 750SS
A can of green paint for the frame makes that much difference?
Oh it's only Australian dollars, that's ok then.

Re: Does my butt look big in this?
I scored a second set of standard panniers too for $40 (25 pounds) which I have rekeyed to match so I am covered for touring if necessary without having to swap lids over.

Does my butt look big in this?
http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o570/jeffhigh/001_10.jpg Well yes, considering I like the convenience of panniers but rarely carry much and have a few tight bends to get into where I park So a couple of months of hard dieting and gym workouts (aided by city lids and short pannier mounts) http:/...

Re: Zen - Tech or Banter?
I read it many years ago, back in the 70's. Didn't improve my spannering but was a useful treatise on philosophy.
I could not remember much of it so bought a SH copy earlier this year.

Re: Threading
You could probably just wick in waterthin CA (superglue) around the metal inserts to adhere them to the plastic

Re: New 'Zorst for the R1100RS
It came with two inserts, the first was quite restrictive, sounded throaty, not much louder than stock, but seemed to take the edge off performance above 4K. The second insert is louder but not raspy, ok as long as you are not caning it around the 'burbs, more urge than the first option, maybe just ...
