Re: Another newbie....

Welcome. You've got the best colour scheme (in my humble opinion).

Enjoy the bike.

Re: Hi from the UK

Welcome Neil. Interesting colour scheme, breaks up the bulk of the 1100S well.

All the best

Re: bye bye telelever

The only thing I missed when going from the GS (and R1100S) to the RS was the telelever. I liked the 'neutral' feel and lack of fork dive, but I'm no racer so maybe in more extreme riding it didn't inspire confidence amongst the fast boys. I even liked the separate indicator switches on the 1100S so...

Re: Trying to grow up.

Well done Peter. It's not really work if you're doing because you want to.
Enjoy the Mini. The Union Flag rear indicators are causing lots of bluster from the Nationalists up here :D

All the best

Re: test rides

Thanks for your test ride report Chris. The Urban sounds a refreshing alternative to all the tech laden bikes around. The 1300 GS will have even more stuff on it of course, at an even higher cost.

Have fun.

Re: Hood biking jeans.

Hi Richard

Can't help re Hood but after watching some reviews from MotoLegends (wordy but thorough) ended up buying some Rokker jeans for my US trip last year. Thankfully not yet destruction tested but very comfortable and very happy with them so far.

All the best

Good photo Steve. Hope the KTM hierarchy were open and welcoming to the arrival of a classic BMW at their event :D

Re: Starter repair

Good job!
Very satisfying to repair rather than replace, although you obviously have a very good technical expertise and a well equipped workshop. :D

Re: Hello (again) from darkest Lincs

Hi Richard

Good to hear from you. You are always mentioned in dispatches whenever the veterans congregate. Hope you are over all your health issues and have some calm water ahead. It would be great to see you at a meet-up, a bike is no longer a requirement!

Best wishes

Re: Welsh Weekend 2023 (UPDATE)

Thanks also from me (and Sue) for the great job organising the weekend Steve (including the weather). It was an excellent trip - bike now officially run in!

Got back yesterday after an overnight stop on Hadrian's Wall and lovely drive up through the Borders.

All the best

Ian
