Re: Shock advice

If you can find a part number, the manual should be available on line. You can then make sure it's set up properly for your combined 2 up weight.

Re: Shock advice

If you look at the right hand side, by the U bracket, there is a locknut. Undo this and you should be able to wind out the U bracket. Thread will be marked showing the maximum length. A bit like a bicycle saddle.

Re: Shock advice

Couple of things. 10mm at the shock, will equate to more than that at the wheel (or height of the bike if you like). I don't know the ratio, but it will be significant. The WP shock looks like it is adjustabke for length, and is currently set short. You should be able to get that 10mm (or 16 if the...

Re: new TFT dash

I am guessing that either it's a free feature, with no use (yet). I.e. They fitted a module from another application that happens to have wifi, so unless someone thinks of a way to use it, it will be a redundant feature. Or Wifi is used for location tracking in some applicataions, so this will be to...

Re: Classic old bikes

I was close to buying a LeMans in the early 2000s. I had narrowed my shorlist to a z900 A4 (Z1 was too pricey) and the LeMans. prices were starting to climb though and anything available in my budget was pretty ropey. Went for the A4. Paid 3K, sold after 18 months for 3K. Prices are climbing rapidly...

Re: R NINE T Racer 1,500 mile review

The Racer is a good looking bike. I think you have had a 1200s as well Fontana. Id be interested in how the 2 compare back to back from a riding standpoint, as in some ways they are similar. On paper at least, the 1200s is slightly lighter and slightly more powerful, but the Racer has a further 10 y...

Re: Pub Ban

Let him discriminate if he wants to! It's up to him how he runs his business and if he doesn't want biker cash then so be it. I quite understand it in some ways. I don't know the bigger picture, but if he has had problems in the past, or perhaps feels families would be put off by crowds of bikes in ...

Re: After a weekend of carnage ...

You know what, I used to have a lot of respect for the Police, based on my own experience of my fair share of run in's with them. This is why I have a problem believing you. I used to have a lot of respect for the police, (I still do with the individuals, excluding my sister, working on the ground)...

You have PM Luke.

I always said I would never sell mine, but I fancy a KTM! After 9 years with mine, I am getting itchy feet.

Re: Madness?

I heard about a kit you can by for Harelys that replaces the conventional stand. Basically, when you have stopped, you press a button and with the magic of hydraulics the whole bike lowers itself onto it's belly. You can then get off and the bike stays securely upright. That's the sort of tech I li...

Re: After a weekend of carnage ...

Or do you pull in behind and safely follow along within the speed limit and wait for a later overtake opportunity???. Of course you only overtake when the overtake is on. That's bleedin obvious. What I'm asking is when you commence, do you make sure you don't go over the speed limit, or do ...

So he slowed down....so what, he did 90mph in the NSL! A bench would love that, which is the point I was making....good policing, not grandstanding! :D And, yes, I have, in answer to your question....but I've never been caught! Pete So the bike safe cop was lying to me then. Scenario. You're ...
