Local machine shop specialising in heads sorted the manifold studs. It was such a tough job apparently that he had to insert helicoils at £40 each. Fair enough and he's done a good job. I've just changed a set of paralever bearings. They're certainly not cheap at around £30 per pair. However they are easy to change, but their life is independent of the bevel box oil - they run in their own grease, outside of the bevel box seals. I suggest that they should be adjusted as often as is...

I have Staintunes fitted. I ran it with the baffles removed at first which gave a great sound but was a little flat up to 3500rpm and more freely revving after. Putting the baffles baffles back in has made the bottom end torque reappear with little apparent effect higher up - i.e. it still spins up ...
