..I located the ballasts where the horn usually hangs off the front subframe and relocated the horn down inside the fairing. Its been on for a fair few miles now with no problems. Malc who I bought the kit from suggested this location and it did make the installation quite simple. HTH Regards Peter.

..MRA do an interesting looking screen, Adjustable for height and angle. Saw one on an S in Hawes a few weeks ago looks well made and could be worth further investigation. Costs around £105 though.

..Jason I use a Zero Gravity smoked screen, Its been on both my 'S's so must have done over 45000 miles and its still in fair condition. TTS over at Silverstone were the importers but I did hear that it was no longer available. Always worth a phone call though.

..Andrew,
As far as I know all sport/BCR variants use a front shock length of 330mm The rear is the one that may change. Early sport models had a long paralever arm (385mm) and a shock length of 314mm and later models have a 365mm para arm and a 310 rear shock length ,HTH Peter.

BMW are well aware of the problem with the finish on the forks (They replaced them on my 2000 S under warranty and are now going to do the same with my 2003 S From previous experience I know that a quick coat of Hammerite lasts much lo...

..Used to ride pillion many many years ago and I do think the secret is in knowing and trusting what the rider will do. I do recall nodding off whilst pillioning down to Cornwall on an overnight trip with a rider whom I would trust with my life.
