Thanks Richard, I'll take it off and start again. do you have a K&N? perhaps it would help? I'll let you know what I find when I take it out for a run later

Hmm interesting!, I finally got around to fitting my induct today along with K& N filter. Am having trouble aligning the front section of the induct to the 2 mounting holes on the bracket, I used the rubber gromet off the OE induct to join the two pieces together...did you have any such problem?...

Is'nt there a power socket adapter for the Optimate? an overnight charge via this might just do the job.

Just been shopping around for prices on remus road cans & Y piece for my 02 S, £505 from motorworks, I'm really tempted, especially as straightline quoted £620 for the same kit.
anyone beat this price?
