Re: Wanted - R1200s

Nice looking 2018 bike at CMC motorcycles in Newport S Wales, and an 06 Colgate striped one at Dick Lovett in Cardiff, I’m looking for a 1200R or RS so been checking all the dealers south of Birmingham.

Re: Any updates on Wales 2022??

Phil, I take it the Lion still has your deposit and you have the option to rebook? We didn’t book last year as we had a family trip to Majorca planned which along with everything else was binned!! As you say we have got to be able to get away next year, so if the 6-8 is ok with the Hotel I’ll give t...

Re: Renewing licence at 70

Being able to drive a 7.5 wagon and trailer might be an ideal pension top up idea in the present transport chaos :D Hadn't thought of that, I won't mention it to my wife, she'll have me starting on Monday. Not having me around and earning money for her would be a temptation she couldn't resist. :D ...

Re: Renewing licence at 70

There have been a lot of comments on various forums for a while about entitlement for different categories “disappearing” on renewal, change of address etc, most people’s solution is to photograph the licence, which if you do it on a phone is date/time stamped, this seems to work if issues do occur,...

Re: Lightweight wheels.

Have no experience of carbon fibre wheels but having seen the material from the aviation industry side I would not be happy about using them on the road, the Harrier wings were carbon composite, very light and strong, yes, but if it suffered a single point impact like a screwdriver/spanner etc being...

ABBA stands need bike specific adaptors and fix to the frame not swing arm like most paddock stands, if the guy didn’t know that I would be wary of what else he doesn’t know!!

Re: R1100S REAR AND FRONT SPRING/COIL SET

Are you intending to refurbish the shocks or just change the springs? I ask as I had my standard GS shocks serviced, new lowered springs set for my weight fitted by a guy on the GS Site, springs come in all colours inc black! All done for just over £300 inc postage.
