Re: Pleasant Surprises on my recent R1100S purchase
Feel free to explain to my pea sized brain  I'm familiar with iat sensors on injected engines but surely unless the carbed engine is running too rich or too hot or both, cold denser air won't improve performance unless of course its turbocharged? All I know is that when I was a younger...

Have you tried Sherlock's they also keep Previously loved parts from breaking up damaged bikes - have had items from them in the past.
Call them or E mail them as they don't list every s/h part http://www.james-sherlock.co.uk

Re: Pleasant Surprises on my recent R1100S purchase
I've regularly fallen in and out of love with my 11s over the years ( or is it decades  ) . But this time of year I always tend to put up a lot of miles on it , it must be the lower temperatures , it just seems to run so much better and smoother. In recent years I've fitted a lennies and the...

Re: Happy New Year
Happy New Year to you too Dave, and all the other Trixsters. Here's to dry roads in 2020. I'd agree Happy New Year - but we've been out twice over the Christmas holidays wet roads or not - two rides out totalling about 260 miles on the 27th and 30th mashing rides from Essex to Cambridgeshire for lu...

Re: ???
We were out last Sunday 10 bikes and 11 members - starting at 2.5 degrees c and ending up at 9.5c by the time we got home. We are are small club but apart from one or two older members (over 70) no-one puts their bikes away for the winter - it makes us laugh when dealers and Magazines start talking ...

Re: 3 wheeler
It's quite cute but admit it - would you actually be brave enough to rock up at say - Box Hill or the Ace Café on a Sunday morning riding it?. Thought not.

Re: Lower fork mounted driving lights
I would not mount to the Carbon Fibre as the lights will bounce up and down and crack it - the carbon fibre is quite thin as I recall only one layer. I had extra lights on my R1200ST mounted in the oil cooler air intakes (didn't affect the running temperature) and later replaced with LED mounted lam...

Re: This Years 4 Day in France
Were all the fines for the same location ? No Not even the same day. Ficed cameras that dont show on the Sat Nav (illegal in France) also apparently they don't look like our cameras and are painted Grey - as they all captured our number plates I assume they lloed like this one https://www.google.co...

Re: This Years 4 Day in France
I was told that any unpaid fines are sold to English debt collectors - not sure if this is true but..... would be interesting to know if this is right Didn't wait to find out as the fine goes up if you don't stump up. Apparently we don't reciprocate because of the way we impose fines against the dr...

Re: This Years 4 Day in France
Update: Since we returned 5 of us (including a ROSPA advanced motorcyclist and a ROSPA Obsrerver) have received Speed Camera tickets - now this is where it begins to get get tetchy - Some were admittedly doing 91 or 93 KPH in a 80KPH limit so fair do's. Others however were only doing 83 in an 80 lim...

Re: This Years 4 Day in France
Well it was a chilly and damp weekend away from the 6th to the 10th of September. You can see the posts with pictures on Facebook Here https://www.facebook.com/Dengie-100-Motorcycle-Club-508436529170462/ Day one went pretty much like clockwork - we left our meeting point only 4 minutes late and arri...
