Nicest hotel around here is the Formby Hall Golf Club hotel http://www.formbyhallgolfresort.co.uk/ on a bike it's about 20 mins to the IOM ferry at Liverpool Pier Head. Other than that, there are now some nice hotels in Liverpool City Centre, but i'm not sure what the parking would be like for a bike.
