Re: Battery R12S - will 150A cranking do?
I don't have a 1200S but afaik the std battery listed (Yuasa catalogue) is Ytx14bs or equivalent which is 200amp cca, they list an uprated one also with 240cca. For me the original 200cca would be the minimum . Got hold of a 300A cheaply so all good :) Hello Can you please tell me what make and whe...

Re: John Gemi Tuning Chip - my experience
This is interesting, as I have just removed my John's chip and installed a booster plug. I had a stage 10 chip and I think it was over fueling as any mate behind me complained of my bike smelling of unburnt fuel. Just got a K&N and a Vanderline mid pipe and end cans. Would be a good idea to sti...

Re: I-ABS removal part 2
Hi I know this is a really old post, but if anybody is still on this forum I'd just like to say thank you for your posts as I have just got rid of the ABS unit. When I bought the bike the ABS had already been 'professionally' removed but the unit itself was still on the bike. As I had it to bits swa...

Nice job. Is that a Fantic I see?
Re: alarm
I too have a dead Datatool alarm on my 1100s which I found after I bought it . I was thinking of trying to revive it as I have all the paper work and two fobs. Still a bit worried it might one day immobilise or go off and the fob will still be in the kitchen draw.

Diff oil change?
Hello
Although my 1100s has only done less than 7k miles ,it is 15 years old so do you think the diff oil should be changed?

Re: Wider rear wheel for R1200S
Hi
Yes a narrower tyre will make the bike turn in better. On my GSXR I have a 185 instead of the 195 width and it does make a difference, so putting a wider tyre or wheel on will make it turn slower in to the bends.

Hi
Can you swap the feed from the Hi beam to low to prove the HD unit works ok. If it does the its the wiring or relay.

Re: 10 to 20% Power increase!
Just received a reply from Steve - That element of the instructions is for Airhead 2v engines only and is not applicable to the 4v Models. We have been working on a new version for both single and twin spark 4 v models, which we have now perfected and is with our production engineers, this will be a...

Re: 10 to 20% Power increase!
Hi All I have been reading up on these and in the Motor Works instructions ' with twin sparking an engine the retard is more efficient if the ignition sweep is reduced rather than simply retarding the whole ignition. This can be done by simply altering the flyweight stops within the ignition trigger...
