Ballater

Aye, thought it would be a good idea to ride me GS up to Ballater for the bank holiday weekend camping in the van with Mrs Big Rob & our dog Ed.
Ballater is a lovely wee town, it's surrounded by cracking roads and stunning scenery, well worth a visit.

Auld GS

Aye, recently bought this auld plug to complement me BCR. The bike is clean for its' age, i've only managed to get out on it once so far, covered 100-miles and couldn't stop grinning inside me helmet, lumpy, bumpy and lots of character. Spent Saturday afternoon in me garage making a plate to allow t...

If you're scrapping the bike, I'd be interested in buying the whole bike.

Cheers,
Rob.

Re: Sad News

Hi Peter, We are so sorry to hear of Alans passing. Met & rode with you both on a few occasions but we will always cherish our memories of the time you & Alan were on holiday and went out of your way to come & visit Gail and I when we were living in rural France. Our thoughts are with yo...

Re: Subframe brackets

During the Boxercup race series these lugs were the first thing to break when the pilots 'dumped' their bikes. They didn't re-frame their bikes after each smash. Have a good search on tinterweb, there is info out there on how the bike can be repaired, it will involve a bit of engineering but it can ...

Battery

Are there really people out there of sane mind who are prepared to pay such a ridiculous amount of money for a motorcycle battery?

Re: R1100S worn 'wheel' bearings

Hi Ian, at 38,00 miles I would hazard a guess that it's the paralever bearings that need adjusting/ replacing. The link below is both informative and quite funny, I followed it to sort the bearings on our 1100s' sssss https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0_j8SuiFQI I've got the fancy socket you see in t...
