Re: Yet another BMW
Thanks for your comments Chris. The reality is, if I alter the riding position with raised bars (and to do that it has to have an extended master cylinder brake line) and it still sets off my trapped nerves then I cannot ride it. There would be no reason to keep it. Sadly the same scenario as when I...

Re: Yet another BMW
Mr Parry - peeling stickers are because you wash and polish it too much instead of riding it. Best you use it on the WW. Chris - my impressions so far on two very short (6 and 10 mile) rides on the K12 are it set my trapped nerves of in my neck both times within 5 miles. As the riding position is wa...

Re: Shxte Fuel
A search for Esso petrol stations in Shrewsbury turns up 3 only, and one of those is a BP garage not Esso. So to protect my older bikes, lawnmower, strimmer and chainsaw etc. I have to travel 4 miles to a station on the other side of town. Is it worth it, with the much higher cost per litre than Tes...

Re: R 1200s For sale
Hayden, I can guarantee that Mr Parry (Vanguard) Mr Davies (Tail End Charlie) and myself (general hanger on) will be travelling solo on the WW. Good luck with the sale if you decide to go through with it. Preferably take heed of the sage advice above, add mine to it and keep the old thing tucked up ...

Re: Yet another BMW
Chris If you've had one, what's the scoop - good bits bad bits etc.?
Cause I havent ridden it yet, but reading about bad pulling to one side with and without rear wheel spacers.
Yes Steve is currently a mate, but that could all change........................

Re: Yet another BMW
Thanks Paul, can you bring some Boxertrix stickers to the Welsh Weekend please?
The bike looks naked without them!

Yet another BMW
I must have caught something serious from Mr Parry of this parish. Because, I have gone an bought another BMW, a K1200RS "brick" to be precise. I've never bought a bike without riding it before, but the said Mr Parry advised that the "bricks" were car technology and capable of 20...

Re: Welsh Weekend 2022
Well how could anyone not be swayed by the prospect of 2,1/2 years of Boxer Bollocks to catch up on over a beer or three - (as well as the prostate surgery booked for early September) so that's me booked in too. Just hope I recover quick enough and can still ride the bike with Tena pads stuffed down...

Re: The new "me"
Another half a stone loss in the last week with a few more days in hospital. On industrial grade antibiotics now to stop the latest infection - and sepsis can be a killer, so hopefully staying clear of that, but they don't seem so sure at the hospital. I have to say that 2 years of covid has decimat...

Re: The new "me"
Well done Steve. Love to join you at the WW but can't even lift my leg over the bike, never mind riding it. 4 hospital visits and two emergency admissions in the last 6 weeks. But the good point is that I have lost a stone. 13 down to 12. I should be down to about 9 stone by October if nothing chang...

Re: City Lids
I've only ever used the city lids on the panniers for my R11S and the standard lids stayed in the garage.
Does make packing enough clothes for a long trip a challenge though.

Re: Site software update issues
Thanks Paul
You really do keep all the IT issues under control so I can get my daily fix of Boxer stuff.
Doubly important now I am going through the old gentlemans' prostate issues, with catheter, morphine and taking more tablets than a pharmacy.
Keep up the good work.
