Ive been looking carefully at my rear Z6 over the last few weeks and reckon it will need replacing very soon. Only 3.5 k miles . May just replace the rear otherwise i'll be on my 5th consecutive different set of tyres. (that doesn't sound right) Was thinking of 020's (followed an r1100r at the weeke...

Couple of fun sparks as I caught the fuel tank with the spanner earthing the +ve terminal.. whilst removing old battery To avoid the obvious in future ,be it bikes or cars it is well worth removing the -ve terminal first and refitting the -ve terminal last to avoid any pyrotechnics! rgds Nigel

[ d. Lastly (and I need some help here), the auto choke, idle speed thingy, when you hold it open, it's fine, but then there's no difference between the other two settings. That is it's the same on the middle position as it is on the normal/off setting. Is this anything to do with the TPS? Mark[/quo...

I think Roadtecs life depends very much on how you ride - I worked out the other day that the Z6 i took down to the canvas only lasted 5,5K miles... Anyone used the Continental Conti-Attacks yet?? Might look into them for the next pair (once I've killed this M1Sportec/BT020 combination) oh ...

Re: Tyre poll

I've listed what I hope is a reasonable cross-section of the tyres folk are using on their bikes - if you'd like to add any that I've missed, please feel free in the thread replies. Oh...and if you feel particularly strongly about a certain tyre, be it favourable or not, please let us know. Hopeful...

Does anyone on here know how the latest version of the ABS system actually works? From reading the manual it suggests to me that the front lever fluid is not directly connected to the fluid in the brake line to the calliper because it says that the fluid level in the sight glass should remain const...
