Irregular tickover

The last couple of times I’ve taken the 12S out, the tickover has been erratic. I’ve balanced the throttle bodies the last time I did the tappets (it was doing it a bit then as well) but appears to be a permanent fixture now. It’s fine when riding but as soon as I come to a stop it’s there. Would I ...

Re: Street fighter bars R1200S

Yeah, my butt definitely can’t do the distance these days, hence the Airhawk. The BM actually did me damage on my last trip and I recognise that sitting more upright shall exacerbate the situation but I am am very much preferring the upright bars these days. I’m considering a GS/Multistrada or R1200...

Re: Street fighter bars R1200S

Hey Phil, I remember when you were looking. Did you ever do it? The AC kit is quite a lot more cash than the LSL (although nicer I guess). I’m 1.7m and the reach is fine with the Helibars but I tend to lean into my tank bag when it’s on. I’m just trying to lose the weight on my wrists. I’ve spent th...

Street fighter bars R1200S

I really don’t want to sell the 12 but extended trips through Europe are starting to get uncomfortable. I’m going to get an Airhawk seat but am also now seriously considering a handlebar conversion. I’ve seen a few done in the past (I’d like the Wunderlich but unobtainable now) so shall probably go ...

Cheers Phil. It’s been a while right enough. Perhaps I’ll,get down your way if you do another weekender.

Nice bike but c’mon Victor I’ve not been on the forum for two years and even I remember that sales requesting ‘offers’ aren’t allowed. “PLEASE READ BEFORE PLACING FOR SALE ADS. by Gromit » Wed Mar 27, 2013 9:32 am 1. Not the BMW (Yet...)

Time to move on. I love having this thing but it's time to go. I realise it won't be everyone's cup of tea but I'll put it up here just in case someone or someone you know might be interested. Re: New Mobile Rules

Little chance. Cycling is seen as the future by the hysterical green left. Last thing they'll put up with is legislation that alienates cyclists. What the hell does this mean? "Hysterical green left"!? There's loads of laws relating to cyclists and why would anyone want to 'alienate' cycl...

Re: New Mobile Rules

There's already more than enough legislation in place to cover just about any stupidity a cyclist might feel he's entitled to indulge in. The problem, as ever, is that there's barely anyone out there to enforce it and, even if there was, there's no interest in doing so. Pete Mostly this. In London ...

Re: New Mobile Rules

I'm in total agreement with stricter laws regarding mobiles, but at the same time I can't help think it's getting a bit hysterical. You're basically not allowed to touch your phone whilst the engine is switched on, but yet there are no laws saying that you can't reach down and adjust the volume, or...
