Re: Madness?

I am not convinced the bike buying public are actually asking for these features. They are actually a by-product of the complicated traction control and ABS systems high end sports bikes are fitted with. Once you have the gyros and sensors, it's easy to include the data on screen for real time or la...

Re: Sat Nav advice

The feature on the phone that I thought was particularly neat was being able to drag and drop routes. My garmin is quite inflexible, but the phone, you could far more easily lay in the exact route you wanted, to either pick up on a nice looking road, or bypass part of the route. I have travelled in ...

Re: Sat Nav advice

I wouldn't get too hung up about it. Just disable the relevant POIs. I also wouldn't buy a separate device assuming you have a half decent phone. Invest instead in a good quality mount and waterproof case. The last few years I have used a garmin, my mates running co-pilot on their phones find route ...

Re: R1200S spotted today

The racer is aimed/marketed at a slightly different customer, where perhaps outright HP isn't a deciding factor. Nevetheless, early signs are that it's not going down too well. I haven't seen any sales figures. It's a nice looking bike, must be a market for it I would have thought? Hopefully they w...

Re: Cheap, decent quality sockets....

I've ordered a set. At that price it would be rude not to!

Seems very cheap though.a/ hope they arrive. b/ hope they are genuine. Lol.

Re: Harleywobble!

His lack of safety gear didn't cause the accident, but obviously it increased the severity of the consequences. In many hot countries it isn't normal to wear all the gear. Even the police ride in shirtsleeeves. I would argue that there comes a point where the safety gear would make you so hot, it co...

Re: R1200S spotted today

Not sport enough for the sport bike crowd, too sport for the sport touring crowd. Hmmm Perhaps the same analogy can be applied to the R NINE T Racer. The racer is aimed/marketed at a slightly different customer, where perhaps outright HP isn't a deciding factor. The 12s was aimed at the sportsbike ...

Re: Recommend this helmet

I have an HJC RPHA max. Worst lid I have ever owned. I rated it at first, until it rained. Water comes through the top vent, even when closed and then tracks internally through the internal sun visor housing and leaks internally. Not a small leak either. It's quite common with this model and I note,...

Re: R1200S spotted today

My personal opinion is because they were over priced and underpowered compared to the competition.

Mine was £9500 new, at a time when you could buy a 1050st for £7000.

Not sport enough for the sport bike crowd, too sport for the sport touring crowd.

Re: Scam address?

I think it might be time to investigate the forum membership procedures. Not quite sure how these things work, but perhaps introducing a delay for new members where they have to be approved by admin before posting might help.

Re: Harleywobble!

My opinion on motorbike clothing has changed over the last few years, and most of the time I ride with a minimum of protective gear, rather than the maximum for reasons of comfort. If you are comfortable, especially when it's warm, your not going to be a sweaty mess, making poor decisions because yo...

I can't believe they have been taken down. I needed some adidas shoes and Viagra this morning, was hoping to pick up a bargain.

Anyway, got to go, I am expecting a call from a Nigerian prince any minute, he wants to rest some money in my bank account.

Or the hope that you see them on your phone, get home and catch them in the act, kill them slowly and dump them in the canal!
