Water is the enemy.
A soggy sensor is the most likley culprit, apply hair dryer.

interesting bolt thread....... [smilie=head bash.gif] But bolts got slightly less interesting for me when we unceremoniously dumped the superb 55 degree Whitworth threadform A thread which had served the Country and Empire since 1841. Replaced in an instant for the European, and frankly more common...

We would not want a fiat 500 either even in Abarth form, after test driving one we found it would not be suitable for us, but as a girlie city car it seems to sell well. We drove the twin cylinder turbo one. We (SWMBO) had the 500 sport with the 1.4 100BHP engine. It was noisey, rattled like a bag ...

Re: Clutch issues - 6 speed bikes

They say the web is the modern source of all knowledge, so I'm very surprised to discover hardly a mention on these pages of the crucial design fault that's built into the transmission of all R1100S and 1150 6-speed Beemers that causes premature clutch and spline failure - a topic that's absolutely...

So we had great summer weather. So more miles got covered on motorcycles. So the f***ing sun will rise tomorrow. So f***ing what? What really pisses me off is that type of reporting. I expect better from the BBC. How about "Motorcycles Mileages Triple, But Casualty Rate Only Doubles Boasts Wel...

Always great to have another Spitfire in the skys where they should be, but it struck me that that particular one was a bit like Triggers broom, nothing wrong with that, but far from a restoration.

It's brilliant. The nearest thing I've seen recently, on a similar basis, is the lotus c-01, but that doesn't come close to this thing.

It looks better on radio!

The "O" word

Oil that is. I know this has been discussed times and everyone has differing opinions. I have always used pure mineral oil,Halfords classic 20/50. It looks and smells like Duckhams used to years ago and that has always been good enough. However on Saturday, hot day, 2 up, slow/standing traffic, back...

If the Lambda sensor was dicky i assume that you would see the that reflected in the plug colour. 12 miles after filling up? poor grade fuel? Let me ask. If the bike hadn't have run rough and cut out, would you have noticed the engine temperature and though it was too hot? Check the simple things fi...

Had a similar thing on a CBR600. The pump refused to run on the bike despite 4 carbs pulling the fuel out of it. Give it 12V off the bike and it would chug away all day. The conclusion: Fuel pumps:..........Like women, difficult to understand Sits back and watches the thread degenerate :happy1:
