June 2011 - Maxxis Tyres Fitted With the upcoming Trackday in mind I was looking for some tyres with a little less tread and a little more dry grip. Maxxis have a good reputation in Super Moto circles. Grippy and Cheap. A quick troll around on the 'web yeilded a delivery. Add about 40 minutes work w...

June 2010: Standard Engine Baseline: I'd decided to spend some money on the 'Cup in order to make it go more like it should. As a start, I thought it'd be best to get a baseline from the engine. http://damoace.smugmug.com/Events/20100608-BCR-Dyno-Day/DSC01643/894321724_gMMpa-L.jpg So to the results....

BCR Upgrade Thread.
I've been asked a couple of times now if I have a website that details the changes I'm making (and have made so far) to the BCR. What little comments I've made so far are spread around in threads that went off-topic so I'll coagulate the principal here and the add to it as I go onwards. Apologies to...

Not really, there are no second-hand ones about and new ones are just too expensive right now. I've had a close look at the wear mark on my one and although it's noticeable, I suspect that it's not too bad right now and should get through this season to the Winter '13 refit when I'll have a solution...

+1 for the fairing subframe out of whack. I draped a string from front to back over the bike and found all sorts of crazyness at first on mine. Then I realized that the headlight (that I centered the string on) 'aint in straight. And my front subframe was bent as well.. Much huffing and puffing late...

Forum member DAVE2WHEELS had some cams and lightweight valve gear which may have been for sale. This was a fair while ago though. I don't know if he still posts here. Worth a punt though. Send a PM.

Perfect. Thank you sir - just the sort of lead I was looking for. I'll PM Dave right away.

Composing the post for PP as we speak sir. Put me down for one on the 23rd at Bedford. If the BCR isn't ready, I'll just use the GS :D There may be another for Bedford, I'll ask Dave when he gets back. Do you need more peeps? I have a mini-mailing list of interested trackday peeps.... [edit] I was a...

Does anyone have a set of them that they would exchange for a monetary consideration? Or BBP ones for that matter..) I ask on the off-chance really. The BCR is in the middle of a 1130cc/intake-porting/head skimming/balance pipe deleting/de-coking/valve lapping/re-mapping upgrade and when I dropped t...

That sort of info is generally regarded as a 'diagnostic feature' and normally not referred to in the user docs at all. I served time repairing very large printing machines in the past and, like most electronic stuff, they are chock-full of vulcan-nerve-pinches/powerup modes/hidden menus/easter-eggs...
