Hi Guys, Glad that TT is ok, good comment on cylinders being crash bungs, never thought of them in that way! Am thinking of trying an R1200ST, love my R1100S and have kept it for over 6 years, but it isn't the best for long haul 2 up work and have tried various screens to keep wind noise down but to...

Fear of falling?
Try new shock on front and change the rear while you are at it. Standard shocks are rubbish anyway! Bought a set of Wilbers off one of the guys on the forum and it transformed my bike.

SS Disc bolts
Have to agree with Nu2beemers, made the mistake of buying the same off ebay and the hex socket on the first one deformed on tightening! Ought to return them and let supplier know they are shit. Have had to stick with the stock item, at least I can trust to be able to remove them when I need to. Does...

Pulling to the right
Hi All, Have searched for this one but no results, so anyone else get this? If I sit up and let go of the handlebars at any reasonable speed, my 1100s always wants to steer to the right. I know it is an in line flat twin, but torque reaction should work the other way by pulling to the left when the ...

Fuel Cap Flap
Have (clumsily) managed to snap the alloy flap which covers the keyhole on the fuel cap of my 1100s and have discovered that this part is not available separately from Moto Bins and Motorworks. Have got around it by finding a second-hand cap minus lock from James Sherlock for a tenner, so just wonde...

Laser Vibes!
Assuming there are no mechanical vibes from new exhaust parts touching somewhere, as mentioned by others, it would be best to check the balance of the inlet manifold flows as any previous imbalance may be exaggerated by the new exhaust. Have fitted the same Laser system on mine and had no vibe probl...

Valve Clearances
Spent nearly 20 years in the motorcycle trade and balancing the carbs was the last thing to do once we had changed plugs, checked air filter, exhaust leaks etc. and finally valve clearances. Incorrect valve clearances subtly alter the valve timing and therefore the inlet vacuum, which is what is bei...

Gel Battery query
Hi, has anyone tried a gel battery from this German supplier on ebay?
Iten Number 300043096966 1st-bikershop_de
Price seems very reasonable (£56.55 delivered) compared to Hawker!
Looks like I need one ASAP now that mornings are colder.
