Re: STAINTUNE CLOSE THEIR DOORS
I recently received a stainless manifold for a car from Supersprint in Italy. The guy told me they were about to close for 10 days - government orders. So you might get a reply come April 6 unless the shutdown is extended which is more than likely.

Re: Told to Self Isolate 15:30 Mon 16th March
Get well fast BC-R. I don’t think I have ever had the flu proper, but have certainly had stinking bad colds that laid me out and that was bad enough. No reported cases yet near me (BBC website) so I’m out for a coffee whilst I can. Then stare at empty shelves in Sainsbury’s before more self isolatio...

Re: "Is it Spring Yet?"
Glad all is well if a little stressful. Talk here is of the army on the street. Maybe London first? Will they have powers of arrest or are they meant to scare us? With such a fluid situation I can’t second guess what will happen and reading of it lasting into next year it’s going to be unbearable. O...

Re: "Is it Spring Yet?"
It was a lovely day today wasn’t it! Sounds like a nice ride Humbug. I had thought it would be great for a ride too, but I need to get a new battery sorted first. Spring is about here and I am more than eager to be back on the road. A few more weeks should see some heat from the sun making all the d...

Re: RAPID BIKE EVO
Isn’t the gizmo (select from the handful available) inserted by using the bikes connectors? So you can only use one. Unless you want to break out the soldering iron!
Ah, just realised that’s on the 1100 and you asked on a 1200. No idea on the 1200 sorry.

Re: Norton no more
Along similar lines is the recent demise of a well known independent Yorkshire garage specialising in Porsches. Many guys lost huge sums of money through the garage, much of it was fraudulent. The warnings on the web were there but not on the popular sites. That was due to the sites worrying about b...

Re: Scamming scum
They put them up faster than eBay can take them down. The second photo is normally an email address to contact them on. To begin with they would the price at £0.01 then went to BIN at an attractive price. I saw a car and started to get excited until I realised it was them. On other forums guys state...

Being a Luddite I can’t post pictures here. Pm me and I will happily send by return.
Truth is I’m too damn lazy to read up on how to do it.

Re: New Job, New City, New Life
Good to hear that it’s all working out after what sounds like an exhausting time. I think once you can speak Jockanese it becomes easier. Like a ‘piece and jam’ even having the ‘outsider’ and of course having the famous square sausage with your breakfast. Don’t forget to have your pizza deep fried i...

Re: Flip Lids ...
I expect my head has changed over the years so I’m going to try them all! Thanks for the heads up BC R (!). A day out to SportBikeShop in Lincolnshire is on the cards as I want to visit a friend near them. Just had a look at the BMW site Dave to read up the system 6. They now do a carbon flip with s...

Re: RAPID BIKE EVO
There are many devices out there to add a touch more fuel. Last year I added a AF-XiED to my 1100. The difference surprised me, so much nicer to ride now. My understanding is that the ECU doesn’t learn it’s there. Just don’t ask me to explain why that is! I had considered a John Gemini (sp?) chip th...

Re: Flip Lids ...
Guys, that’s an amazing amount of great information so many thanks to you all. I have a BMW and Aria shaped head so I’m going to have to try before I buy. Comfort is obviously important, cooling too for the summer months so I don’t mind spending a few extra quid to get something I can wear for hours...

Flip Lids ...
Or whatever they’re called. I had a BMW one about 20 years ago and that’s too long ago for me to remember much about it except it seemed to be bigger than a non flip hat. I’m contemplating a new lid for this year and here is my first bit of research! I’m thinking that when doing some long distance d...
