Re: "Is it Spring Yet?"
That’s a shocker Gerry. I’m guessing you have already thought about returning just to kick start the pension, then high tail it again? I have no clue about the rules in SA but denying you what is your legal entitlement to is so wrong.

Re: clocking
From other motoring forums I have read that it could be barely the tip of the iceberg. This from experienced guys in the industry. A lot of guys have bikes on pcp with mileage limits. So who knows? Due diligence like getting a dealer to read the engine ecu and being savvy should help prevent buying ...

R1200S items
Just found some items from my R1200S that I don’t need as the bike was sold over a year ago. It was black and I jazzed it up with red parts that weren’t wanted by the new owner so I put the original items back on. 1. Puig screen in red. It’s ‘see through’ (if you can bend your body enough to get beh...

Re: R1200/1250RS
Had a ride on a new RT late last year courtesy of Mr Parry of this ‘ere parish. Had a shock when I got back on 1100S to go home. The difference was huge. But I’m obstinate and hanging onto it until I’ve done 100,000 plus. The 1250RS looks right up my street. The right size and doesn’t look like the ...

Re: R1100S Master Cylinder (Front Brake and Clutch) Refurb Parts
Was going to suggest Beemer Boneyard but it seems they are having some grief with their normal parts. Might be worth an email? Over the years I reckon I get 50% of my orders delivered with no other charges from the USA. But painful when you do have to pay though. Roll on a new Boris deal ... https:/...

Jez, the comfort bars are angled upwards as opposed to being straight as you might’ve spotted.
I got a pair a while ago on eBay because to buy new is over £300. Gulp!

Re: Running in complete
So the next milestone is 123,000 miles?
I couldn’t do long miles on mine without backside pain so I had to sell it. I have another bike for Sunday blasts and my trusty 1100S for touring on.
I know what you mean about it being quirky. Would a KTM or Ducati be left field enough?

Re: Running in complete
Did you have the bike from new? Well done on that milestone.
I’ve seen some pics on car sites where the trip meter is 100.00 and the time is 10.00.
Looks good but ffs I could never be so organised.

I think this is the third one posted on here over the years that I remember. Nice bit of welding there!

I’ve never heard of any difference. Not that it means anything worthwhile!

Can I ask why you want to run with a cat? I thought the popular mod is to remove it?

Re: My 2004 R1100S Diary
Many colours suit the bike, but black seems the best of all to my eye.
I have a spare set of Tupperware and I have been meaning to get it changed from silver to black. Maybe something that has a hint of purple when it’s in bright sunlight. Seems like a winter job!

Re: Too quiet!
I think Remus stopped making the 1100S many years ago unfortunately. eBay and patience is the answer. Just keep an eye out as there are many different exhaust systems available second hand. A replacement Y pipe will have the fitting for the O2 sensor. I’ve never heard of one that doesn’t, but I know...
