Re: Time on my hands...

Didn't someone try changing the tanks instead of filling up at the pit stop?

I seem to remember they filled the tank from underneath - upside down - to get as much in as possible and swapped tanks at the pit stop?

Re: Time on my hands...

Very interesting post, thanks for that.

So the superbike pit stops are governed by fuel and not rear tyres?

Re: battery isolation switch?

We had a similar problem with a bike fitted with a tracker so needed to keep the battery connected but it would flatten in a few days. In the end we bought a leisure battery - designed to be discharged and re charged many more times than a car battery - fitted a charging lead to the bike and made a ...

After many years of no garage finally moved house last year and now have one! I’m looking for a bike lift / work ramp and have kinda se...

Re: Servo ABS brakes - deal breaker?

Hi YL, For what it’s worth, I ran an ABS (servo) R1100s for about 5 years with no problems, about 40k on it. A few years back, met a chap with an old BMW Rockstar with servo ABS, at the time the bike would have been getting on to 13 years old. Got chatting and the servo topic came up and he said its...

Re: What have you done since lockdown 'kicked in'

Thanks John, the cats are both a bit special. The upside down one is very laid back but his brother makes up for it, non stop all day (or night) then just keels over like his batteries have ran out! He recently discovered rabbits in the field next door and brings them back onto the lawn to play! Tre...

Re: What have you done since lockdown 'kicked in'

Fortunately, I have been working during the lockdown, I've pretty much been working from home since last October and have enough to keep me busy. I appreciate that I’m very lucky. So, most of what I’ve been up to is at the weekends with a few, cough cough, quiet week days thrown in. Tidied the garag...

That is nuts!

I honestly couldn't watch all of it as I do not like heights. Makes you realise how lucky we are.
