All done now .

The advice given here about leaving the screws loose until all the screws are in is worthwhile .

The levers are also now correctly angled for my arms & hands & wrists .

So all in all a good day today . :)

That was easy...

With hesitation last night I decided to remove the fairing on my R1100S . Ha ha ha ... easy it was ... Only 4 bolts per side . Fortunately I have a box of 5 x 15mm cap head screws .. The joys of buying second hand ...... Worryingly , I found a lot of the wiring sheath has been split & in...

Apologies if this has come up before ...

I am at a loss to understand how the powers that be set the vehicle tax prices .

My Citroen C1 2009 variation costs £20 a year to tax .

My BM R1100S cost over £80 ....

Why ?

The car foot print is double that of the bike ...

Elbow, wrist, back-o-the-hand and fingers should be in alignment when fingers are resting on the lever. (Unless of course you are Vulcan or other species) This should be the most copmfortable arrangement as everything is in line and nothing is pre-strained etc. :D Thats the problem , I have to have...

Thanks for all the help . Next week when I'm off shift I'll strip it down & see what I can do . With regard to off road position , I'd far rather be standing than sat on my ass getting pummeled & cramped ... To used to having the bike do what it wants while standing there looking for lurkers...

Hmm .... So if the lever position is pegged , that makes it difficult to be instantly onto the brake or clutch ... I must pull this apart to see if the pegs can be removed , I find it really uncomfortable to ride , resting a finger on the brake & clutch . I don't want to turn them down much , ju...

I'm new to BMW bikes , and have an R1100S . However the clutch & brake lever positions are too flat for my liking & I'd like to adjust them down a bit , more inline with my arms . Please could some one help me out on how to move them around a bit please . I can see one star screw under the h...
