Re: Bevel box / propshaft. The way they line up

Some models have a slightly shorter paralever strut (lower arm) which does this and slightly raises the rear end, and reportedly gives faster steering. Nothing to worry about.

Re: Have BMW really shaken off the pipe and slippers image

'round here a lot of kids grow up riding offroad from a young age so that is a good intro to riding. The other big drawcard is that you can be on the road alone riding on L plates from 16 whilst you need 12 months on Car L's and to have turned 17 before you can go for your license. This is a big att...

Re: Source of "little 10mm fuel hose clips" or "jubilee" replacements....

I put the mikalor ones up as an example I actually got mine from an Australian supplier and they were stainless. http://www2.munichmotorcycles.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=2686_1694_2088&products_id=1324 They were 14.5mm Inside diameter which only just fitted on the hose and allowed it to slide...

Re: Source of "little 10mm fuel hose clips" or "jubilee" replacements....

These are what you want http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-x-Mikalor-W1-Single-Ear-O-Clips-with-Insert-Stepless-Inner-Ring-Hose-Clamps-/252420114226 They have an insert to bridge the gap so you get even pressure and they don't cut into the hose. You crimp them with a CV boot band crimping tool. They need to ...

Touchup bottle from ebay to this code matches really well.

Should have said the sticker is on the lid of the airbox
I think the codes changed with the year but they kept the colour name

Re: Too old to ride

Here in Australia, you need a medical assessment every year after 75 and a practical driving assessment every 2 years from 85.
Seems to be a reasonable compromise, everyone ages differently.

Re: Too old to ride

I'm 62, just got back to riding a few months ago on a R1100RS after about 22 years. It's a challenge since all the bikes I owned before were much smaller, but I bought it and rode it 100km home.
It's now feeling more natural but I don't treat the road as a racetrack like I did at 17.

I do not need a gust of wind to help my bikes fall over, I have learned that using the side stand can be helpful in keeping the bike from falling down
