Yeh I did a similar thing coming back from the 'ring a few years ago but with a better outcome.

I had stopped at Clacket Lane services on the M25 for fuel and put my wallet with passport, logbook driving licence etc on top of a closed pannier and walked to the shop.
Forgot about it, came out and ...

Try this - think fixed wing aircraft; the 3 axes of movement are pitch, roll and yaw (elevators, ailerons and rudder).
Blipping the BM throttle while stationary gives the torque reaction of rolling the bike to the right (ailerons)
The steering wander to the right that Er-Minio had is like yaw ...

Having taken ages to get used to the 1100S telelever front end after years of conventional usd and right way up forks, both on racing and road bikes, my 2 pence worth.
You can't feel what the front tyre is doing anywhere near as well on a telelever set up. Conventional forks let you keep putting on ...

I found my 11S ran smoother on 98 and if I was at the 'ring or doing a trackday I would always put in the pricier stuff.
Just for peace of mind when touching the red line through the gears and it was better on the transition from overrun to on the throttle on slow corners and hairpins.

Had my shaft splines sieze up after about 8k and fixed under warranty.
The symptom was the rear felt like I had replaced the shock with a solid bar and the wheel was skipping off all the bumps in the road.

Thanks Gary

I found that out on here but I have some tasty fully adjustable CNC clip-ons I took off my trackday GSXR 1000 when I sold it. Also have the Ohlins rear shock which is the same fit as the BM as well so that will be going on too.

Cheers John

And another one

Hello all

Had my R1100S from new in 2001 with luggage and heated grips. The only mods are a BCR paralever link and bagster tank cover.
Its the yellow and silver one with about 25,000 on her now. Not done many miles over the last few years but done a couple of thousand mucking around this summer so ...
