im running miller oils , their crx75 90 nt the nt is nano tech ,,, i think that translates into molly or tungsten di sulphide or the likes in it ,,, but it seems to be doing the job , and its not tragically dear .

Well , I tried , but in the end i couldnt go past a gs1200 ,,,, i did try , and with only a couple of hundred st left , it was tempting , but in the end my head ruled my heart ,,, and a gs won the day.

many thanks guys , yes they can be had for realistic cash , and with the great details provided its certainly giving food for thought , as much as i like the gs , its nice to be a tad off the beaten track , The only down side of them being so thin on the ground is theres little chance of seeing one ...

oh no ,, sounds like a thirty year old ford diesel ,,,, indirect injection , will we all need to fit a stop cable too

i bought oem , and actually found them a tad too large to seat easily ,,,, so , as i had an old dented set of headers , i cut off the first two inches of pipe , and use it and the flange to semi seat the gaskets first ,,, makes fitting headers very easy ,,, i also used vw beetle exhaust bolts , they...

i read some where that BMW spends a million pounds a day in r and d ,,,, cant see them overlooking something as simple as a plug port design ,,,,
and for that reason alone , im out.

you should feel the pilot hole drill as it passes out of the end of the stud as your drilling it ,, i have a couple in the garage i think , i can check if your stuck

gearbox is fairly serious ,,, not tragic , but time consuming.
final drive seals are not too bad
