Re: A bit of an eye opener today
Sounds like you at least had some fun with yours over the weekend, all I have done is clean, XCP and polish mine.....it'll be a shame to get it wet and dirty on the way to work tomorrow morning.

R1100S Master Cylinder (Front Brake and Clutch) Refurb Parts
Having seen a post on Facebook where the front brake master cylinder had dumped it's fluid on the RH Fairing paintwork and also having had a problem with the front brake master on my similar age Buell S1W I figured it might be a good idea to refurb the master cylinders when I change the bars to the ...

Pleasant Surprises on my recent R1100S purchase
My recent R1100S purchase has been pushing back at me on occasions when doing a little work on it. A previous owner replacing some fasteners with dome head stainless fasteners in a number of places - bloody things have reduced depth smaller allen key heads, which combined with a complete lack to ant...

That still the R1100S you bought off me Gerry? If so I am pleased that it is being looked after and getting some use. I have just bought another one.

Re: R1100S Handlebars....low and high standards?
Yup appears I have the comfort option, they are exactly as per your photos. Ta
I have found a pair of under yoke bars on eBay. Just a matter of being bothered to fit then, as the bike has heated grips.
Perhaps I'll see how comfortable they are for a while

R1100S Handlebars....low and high standards?
So I picked up another R1100S (to replace my ride to work VFR750) last night. When looking around the bike I noticed that the bars were above the top yoke and thought 'simple job for tomorrow' was to put then back under the yoke where they should be, as I had done with my last one....but.... on clos...

Re: Back in the Fold on a Boxer :-)
Ta for the suggestions. I've ended up ordering a Becker Technik stand, I like the fact it folds up and therefore should be relatively easy to store http://shop.becker-technik.de/en/motorbike-lifters/14-bmw-heck-lifter.html And some pattern mirrors are on their way so by the weekend I may be able to ...

Re: Back in the Fold on a Boxer :-)
Looking good Houston. In the best colours as well. Looks like the original mirrors are still on it? As you probably know by now, they are only of use to check out your shoulders. A popular mod, remaining within BMW, are the S1000RR mirrors. Look ok and actually let you know what’s behind you. A bra...
