Re: Suit repair / alterations

Try The Little Sewing Shop in Oswestry for alterations (on Salop Road) Val, the owner has replaced the zip in my one piece race leathers, altered ski gear etc, etc and I've never been charged more than a tenner. She does a top quality job and refuses to take any more money, so I always take her choc...

Re: [NOT recommended] but worth checking out- ALDI

Lidl were recently selling battery tenders for £12. They were rebranded Ctek ones that sell for x4 the price in bike shops. I bought a whole bunch of them

Re: Oil changes

Oil and tyre threads are banned on the Buell Forum that I moderate on  . Just bear in mind that oil does a lot more than just lubricate.

Re: Remus exhaust fitting problem.

Build the system from the headers back, and make sure that it all hangs freely on the fixings, otherwise it may lead to fractures if it's under the slightest tension (certain grades of stainless steel can be quite prone to this) To ensure a can doesn't slide off a header, you can drill a 3mm hole th...

Looks like the frame is based on the 1000 Sport. Once you bin the Marzocci forks, and fit Showas, they handle really well.

Re: Spain anyone?

Have agree, the Picos area is excellent for a bike. The dirt tracks of 20 years ago, have recently been surfaced with immaculate Tarmac. Just watch it in the wet though, the surface is very grippy in the dry, but the tar is mixed with local Limestone that polishes easily. It's like glass when moist....

Indeed I have met Steve. A pleasure to do business with, he didn't even need to put my arm up my back and wrestle my wallet out of my pocket either - like my wife does

Re: Good morning from the wet Welsh Borders

Welcome along. I guess you'll have already met Steve (moderator of this parrish) if you bought the bike from Chester BMW. There are a few of us around locally (I'm down by Nesscliffe) who get together for the odd ride and a pie and pint or a curry. Be good to meet up sometime. That would be good, t...

Re: Bikes of the new boy here

I tried posting one of my Husqvarna Nuda, but it wouldn't let me. It's possibly the most fun bike I've ever ridden (apart from the Buell) On twisty roads that I know, it's just as quick as the Ducati, and I really can't think why they never sold in greater numbers. By sheer coincidence, I was on the...

Re: Good morning from the wet Welsh Borders

Good luck Thanks, I'll have a lurk on there. Otherwise, the new sticky rubber I was going to fit on...

I read on the forum that you can't stray into there until you've made 10 Posts. When I reach the magic number, I'll put a request in there.

Re: Good morning from the wet Welsh Borders

I can't see a 'Wanted' part of the forum, but if anyone has a set of pillion grab rail to fit the RS, I'd be very interested in buying them. The rack now fitted, will be kept for long trips. Ta 8)
