I had the same same on my GS
I replaced the Oring on the actual cap but no joy (used a BMW one because of the thickness) and so had to get the plastic insert part that goes in to the valve cover.

Aparantly the power suly for the pc111 comes from one of the injectors....

that is ugly as!
sure, its one design racing so it shouldn't matter, but its still ugly

I think the youngest 1100S will be 14 years old now, the covering around the wires wont last for ever.
I recovered ALL my 1150GS wiring in 2012, 10 years old at the time as most of it had broken up - but I live in teh tropics and most rubber products dont last in this environment

I would check that the breather hoses are free and not blocked.

I dont know / cant put in to words how this may help so maybe I am barking up the wrong tree.

Another vote that you get back to A&E and get checked out.

Its fine by me, can run on condition maintenance, but I do actually think it should be in place
