UK Planning law re garages

Anyone know any gotchas re the above? I need to replace my garage in tthe UK which is currently a concrete sectional build with a 'flat' roof which came with the property when I bought it ages ago. I assume a like for like replacement will not raise any issues but what about any changes? For example...

So the RWB BCR is bog standard except for alarm & after market heated grips (non BMW). I see the bike as a 'keeper' now; but is it already 'marked down' due to the grips? What I mean is, looking to future value should I keep it as is or go down the ohlins, lennies, rocket sproket et al route. so...

Back in the day it was vero board and a die-cast box to suit--- how things have have moved on! Must admit though the boxes never looke the business really bet carbon will look sweet. Hope you get on ok with the project as presentation counts for a lot IMO
