Re: r1200s engine rebuild

long rods. I love shiny engine bits Different capacity? Hi Nigel Same capacity. Bit more compression and all the parts are considerably lighter than stock. All the mods I am doing will make a great race engine with around 130 bhp at the wheel , Spin up quicker and be a lot smoother. I will lose a l...

Nice purchase!
I had a set on the mongrel r1100s I built. Make a noticeable difference in handling.
Don't bother painting the wheel, they look good as is. Save the money to spend on something useful like tyres or fuel!!!

Hi
Does your bike have servo assist brakes or just abs? I also thought you need the bike connected to a diagnostic device to activate the abs pump..
I would use a vacuum brake bleeding device to bleed the brakes.
All the best

Concise as ever Gus. What's you opinion of the mod? I,ll tell ya when I get the engine in the bike. :D I run a QA throttle and the non linear action peed me off. It's not a ideal mod, but it works. I have a spare set of throttle bodies I will mess about with to try and get some improvement. Gus

Re: Boxerist once more...

Folks, After a long dalliance with motorcycles of the three cylindered variety, I'm back in the land of Sporty Boxer owners. My new toy arrived last week: http://strattonconsulting.co.uk/photos/PaulRide.jpg It's good to be back, with more gadgets and more power, compared with my old R1100S bikes, b...
