Re: Electric café racer...
This has been aesthetically panned on the MCN website so I'm quite pleased to say I like it! I like endurance racing, particularly olde worlde endurance, and the yellow lights are straight out of 1970s Bol d'Or, which is a good thing in my book. The bike looks like it's been cobbled together by a pr...

Re: R1100RS tribute
Nice photo. Yes, it's another one of those underrated bikes. A few people have developed them for racing too. A Dutch dealer, Rudy Ottenhoff, did a lot of work on a BOTT racer. Can't help with the Guzzis Pete, but if you like the Stelvio/Norge, have you considered a Morini Granpasso? There're a couple of guys in the Morini club who have done a lot of miles on them, including touring Europe, two-up. This is the brand-spankers version: http://motomorini.eu/moto-granpasso-120...

Timing chain cover oil leak (R1100S)
My R1100S has an oil leak from the bottom of the front timing chain cover. It looks like it's caused by one of the bolts shearing off so the bolt will have to be drilled out and replaced. I'll also have to check the torque of all the other bolts. Are all the bolts securing the cover M6x30? (Or are a...

There's a comprehensive discussion of ethanol on the Morini forum.
I think it's publicly viewable.

I was out on the bike a couple of weeks ago and saw a hi-viz chap in front. I wasn't sure at first if it was a police rider or POLITEHIVIZMAN. As I was catching him I assumed the latter. For amusement I followed him for a bit. He was slow ('old dodderer in car' slow) and his lines were innovative. W...

One of my wife's old paintings for sale on ebay - she's running out of space in her studio - John McGuinness, 2009 TT. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122183792997 (item number: 122183792997) She has some other similar bike ones and can paint to order. Hi Mitch, Oliver's Mount - it's racing on closed public roads in parkland / hill, near Scarborough, NE England. They do hillclimbs and rallying there too. More info here:
