Front suspension question

Just ordered a new front shock from wilbers, and they rang back to ask wether i had the shorter front suspension struts on my bike.
No idea that there was ant difference ( apperently neither did wilbers until last year) , so any ideas please - 2005 BCR

had exactly the same problem myself the other day. not sure if i trust it with one bolt either. I had a look on the probolt website and they seem to have a similar product under their quick release fastener section. haven't had a chance to measure up a BMW one to see if they're the same though: http...

As tanner man said it means that the rear bulb gas blown. But can be difficult to tell as if it's the tail light, not the brake light then the computer sends a lower current to the brake light so that it runs as a standard tail light ( iirc)

Just fitted a wilbers rear shock to mine tonight And there was no way to get the bottom bolt out without hitting the y piece. But just undid the 4 bolts at the bootie, and the top exhaust clamp and I was able to manoeuvre the y piece enough to get the bottom bolt out. Total time from start to finish...

i removed a meta alarm that had similar problems. took about an hour to trace all the wires back and re-solder them all up. it's fairly simple once your in the loom, as the wires that have been cut to install the alarm should all match up easily enough, blue/white to blue/white etc. i also marked al...

I wired mine directly into the heated grips circuit.handy to find on the left hand loom. Already fused and switchable on the ignition. Just cut into the wire and soldered it up. 10 min job.
The mounting was another matter entirely though.

Biggest problem was that Aviva (who are behind this) wanted the government to underwrite any losses by 100% the governmnent offered 80% and it was rejected.
How can an insurance company of all things want someone else to take on any potential losses, but not gain any profit?

I think that the K ones are different, as someone else said they have bigger cutouts. But even so the panniers are so small as to next to useless.

I had these on my k1200r, and frankly they're a waste of time. You can get more in a large tail pack than these. I do like having the security of hard panniers however. One thing that I had noticed is that the new R1200rs panniers looked to have a similar fitting system. I wonder if these would fit,...

I had a K1200r and although i loved it there were loads of problems in 1 1/2 years of ownership. ABS went funny occasionally, with it being servo assist when it went off you had 10% brakes maximum- scary to say the least. A coil broke down, and although it isn't an expensive part you have to remove ...

I reckon you'd prbably get about 1500, maybe a bit more as it's a new bike that you're buying.
There's quite a few on ebay at the £2K mark so can't see them giving you muchmore than that
