Mobile bike electrician

Morning all, so alarm removed, bike will not start, christ knows what I've done.

It seems like the kill switch is permanently on.

Over my pay grade, so can anyone recommend a bike sparky preferable mobile in the north kent/se london area?

Cheers

Re: tank removing R1100S.. seriously????

So, have removed most of alarm, rejoining interrupted wires except for these two. 1 grey, one orange coming out of instrument cluster. They went to the alarm as separate wires and no obvious wire to reconnect to. There is a alarm led on top of dash but wires to that are about a third in thickness an...

Re: Sight glass???

Near as dammit upright may not be close enough on a propped up sidestand. The sightglass may be full of oil in this situation and hence not showing a line, while on your abba stand at true vertical it shows a line at the 3/4 position. Yep maybe? Anyhow as usual folks thanks for the hints and tips, ...

Re: Sight glass???

Were you just trying to hold the bike upright before while checking the oil, rather than having it on a centrestand? No centre stand, I have a slither of scaffold board that puts bike as near as dammit upright. Its not like I've never checked the oil before though the glass. It literally was like I...

Re: Sight glass???

Your gonna think I’m making this up, but my sight glass is now working how it should. (More than I can say for the bike). Any how it’s been on a abba stand for a fortnight instead of its side stand. I can only think that I couldn’t see any level as the oil was stuck on the glass. Can’t think of any ...

Re: R1100S screens

My original screen started splitting at the mounting screw holes as I was taking it off with the mirrors and refitting it regularly to put the bike into my Renault Espace for about 4 or 5 trips to the 'Ring each year. I replaced it with a higher one from Motorworks here - http://www.motorworks.co.u...

Re: Oil changes

When it comes to oil changes, I do something quite radical. I read the manual and use the spec / grade (though not necessarily the brand) recommended by the manufacturer after thousands of hours of testing and development. Do this and you won't go far wrong. Alternately you could ask the opinion of...

Re: when you buy a bike......

:D For what it's worth, I would - - improve / optimise the handling for you the rider so you can use what you already have in the engine more, for longer. Better shocks, tyres and get the bike set up. - IF appropriate, lose a few pounds by keeping off of the pies! - IF budgets allow, Carbon or light...
