The only thing I missed when going from the GS (and R1100S) to the RS was the telelever.
I liked the 'neutral' feel and lack of fork dive, but I'm no racer so maybe in more extreme riding it didn't inspire confidence amongst the fast boys.
I even liked the separate indicator switches on the ...

Re: bye bye telelever
Has to be said, Telelever is something I too am loathe to lose. I've ridden a few "normal" bikes in the past few years and without exception I find them "boingy" compared to the Rockster.

Re: Thin Blue Line, third pullover in one lifetime
A bit annoying Gawaine but sounds like they were just doing a public service by highlighting a couple of minor errors of safety on your part. Thankfully for you they just imparted some observations and let you go on your way

I've got/tried/ridden in:
Hoods (can't remember the model name): Thick heavy denim, Aramid shorts built in, hot as hell on a hot day and far too thick to wear in the office. Good Spring/Autumn jeans.
Lindstrands Macan : Oddly cut, very small pockets, not terribly comfy on the bike.

The first one was an obvious crossing of the solid white - that's a direct contravention of a rule.
The group of 4 is less obvious, but it's possible it's a known black spot (maybe the bends are blind, hard to tell from directly above), and there's an obvious property entrance at the end of the ...

Are they still trading in Germany? I've still got 2 jackets and a pair of trousers and think they're brilliant. I don't think I've ever proofed them and they're still waterproof. Maybe a product of their own success?

Hi.
Hein Gericke used to sell lightweight, flexible knee/elbow/shoulder armour that fixed to the lining of your clothes with snap-on studs. I don't think it was their own brand. It was very reasonably-priced.
Does anyone recall this product? Is anything like it still made?

Well ... this weekend I spent out on the BCR upped the speeds by 10 mph (but still at legal limits in 30's and 40's of course) as was riding alone.
Also filled up with E10 in Llangollen (the petrol station in Llan doesn't have E5 ... note to Welsh Weekenders)
