Re: How do I remove the panier locks
You should be able to tickle that last 'leaf' in the barrel through a hole in the inside face of the pannier body.

You could probably get 3 flat-tankers in there!

Re: Item you didn’t buy ...
... when you had the chance to. Over the years I finally realised that it you see something you want/need then don’t dilly dally, just get it bought. Because if you don’t when you finally get around to it the item may no longer be available. For my 1100S I always intended to buy a rear seat cover f...

Re: WANTED front mudguard R1100s Boxercup
Just for reference - the Rockster uses the same mudguard (give or take) so if you're looking in breakers, there's another option.

Re: 20 years of Boxertrix memories
This was the biggest gathering of R1100S's we ever managed, at the brewery in Burton, organised by bikemad99 in May 2005. lb20 - 16.jpeg That's my Rockster in the middle. :D A fine body of men at Chateau Flash. They are Alan, Gats, Flash, a much thinner and hairier version of me, Steve W and Gromit...

Re: G'day. R1100R Scrambler starter.
That's possibly the best looking R11R I've seen. (I really don't like the after-thought oil-coolers, but they seem 'ok' on that treatment of the bike) Have you looked at a shorter Paralever arm? (365mm iirc) Will give you another 10mm or so of ground clearance by 'pulling' the rear wheel down and st...

Re: 100,000 miles
Good stuff!!
My 3rd Rockster reached about 130,000 before I blew the main-crank bearing while at full-chat on the A303.![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)
If I hadn't been playing silly buggers, or had chosen to rebuild it, I'd still have it and it would probably be on 150K+ by now.
I hope you're going to keep it going!

Re: Thinking again of moving to the dark side
They're fun to ride, but no better dynamically than a 60s brit bike (heavier though).
I like getting a test ride occasionally to scratch that itch.

I love that film!
Have you ridden a Rocket3? Well worth a test ride, the torque is unbelievable, and while the handling is a touch ponderous, it's far better than you expect it to be.

Another vote for Motorworks.
Dealers are good for short notice items like filters because they'll have stuff in stock, but they'll obviously be more expensive.
