Re: Winter project
Hi, Not too keen on black wheels to be honest, but I'm yet too see one done with a mandarin. Yes I'll keep well away Steve! After the effort gone into careful removal, I'll treat them with upmost caution. Have copper slipped the threads etc, and I plan to remove them a couple of times a year. Thanks...

Re: Winter project
Thanks for the kind comments guys, much appreciated. Maybe try the wheel cleaner trick I mentioned, gets it to the stage where you only need autosol then. Thanks glad you said about the front fairing, was forever looking at it thinking, 'this should be black' pleased with it, I think it lifts it a b...

Re: Winter project
Forgot to mention another job I did. I added some aluminium mesh to the front grill (which I changed from mandarin to black) and the holes in the rear fairings. I used some from b&q. Was under a tenner and I have enough left to do another one! Appreciate its not a BMW look, but is a bit of tinse...

Re: Winter project
Thanks Al & Steve, nice of you too say! Was going to fit a belly pan but I liked the engine paint. Yeah I could do yours Steve, but it wouldn't be cost efficient!
I find the paint fumes and thinners help the bitter cold disappear somewhat!
Cheers,
Rich

Re: Winter project
Cheers mate, I know there a bugger too keep right, but after reading on here, I use acid based alloy wheel cleaner. I soak kitchen towel with it and wrap them around, remove then autosol! But your right, they will go brown on the first ride! Whilst on the subject, does anyone know of a product which...

Winter project
Hi, I bought my 11s in April last year, which on test ride developed a creak from the rear end. Reluctantly I walked away, to give myself some time to research on what could be wrong. That is how I found this amazing forum, full of knowledge and kind, helpful people. The creak turned out to be rear ...

Re: Shock factory by Mike capon
Hi, Yes I can't wait too get out and see how they fair up! I will definitely let you guys know my honest thoughts. No real discount mate, maybe a tenner off. The front shock, I believe is a modified 'twin shock', beautifully engineered, less adjustment than the rear, but still ample. I paid £550 all...

Re: Shock factory by Mike capon
Hi Mitch,
The thread originally had the title wilbers eco line, but during my searching I decided not to go with wilbers. Once the weather picks up I will be out, and once I've fettled them, I'll post a accurate review. I do have high hopes for them however.
Cheers,
Rich

Re: Shock factory by Mike capon
Hi,
It has a separate gas cylinder inside. This helps the performance of the shock when it's working hard.
Has a very very similar construction to nitron I believe, not sure if the wilbers equivalent has a separate cylinder
Cheers
