I really love it. Which is irrelevant because chances are i'd never be able to afford it or at least justify it. I'd really love an HP2 sport as well but that's never going to happen either. :(

Hi BW, Don't know about a DIY decat - no doubt it would require a bespoke 2-into-1 section in its place. Are Y=pieces available, as per 11S? You could replace the entire header/cat assembly but....kerching! AFAIK it still is not a requirement for a bike to have a catalyser fitted for MOT. Mike Stru...

Send a mail and see if they do headers alone, or just go for the whole system........... Cheap enough, I think?

What's the € just now? 1.40?

Al :D

Gotta love an exhaust system with right angles in :D

Diy de cat header's

Hi all
Was wondering if anyone has ever modded the standard R1200S headers and removed the cat in one way or another?
Obviously there must be a performance gain, but do de cat headers fail an mot?
Any thoughts appreciated :)

Gone out and bought a GS

http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y508/Brokenwasp/DSC_0444_zpsdlzkrzvb.jpg This GS is obviously for my son and not for me to refine my cornering technique on my mouse mat whilst searching Ebay for the Holy Grail, Unicorns and other imaginary items like second hand de cat headers. :D

I wanted a 12s for years on and off. They became so elusive in the spec / colour I wanted that I actually gave up looking and considered other stuff. Eventually one turned up 30 miles away! I'd never ridden a Boxer before but I'd spent so long looking I was having it anyway no matter how quirky it w...

The TL I had new, sold it then bought it back in 2010 for £1400. I'm the 1st and 11th owner its far from tidy but has huge sentimental value. I'll never sell it. :)

I have both the bikes you're talking of. I've had the TL for years, and while the TL will show the R1200s a clean pair of heels any day of the week the BMW is by far a better road bike. The BMW is also the one I ride the most which speaks volumes. I found the R1200s to be expensive for what it is an...

Henstridge Airfield Bike Meet

Took the Boxer to a local bike meet at Henstridge Airfield the other night. The idea being you can turn up and if you want, run your bike down the runway with proceeds going to air ambulance. Managed to disconnect my mechanical sympathy temporarily to allow for a couple of runs of the incredibly bum...

A very rare appearance

Making a very rare appearance today is my 98 TL1000R http://i1278.photobucket.com/albums/y508/Brokenwasp/DSC_0063_zpsbe7wbqgf.jpg It is both my pride and joy and the source of great frustration. I am both the 1st (technically) and 11th owner of this battle scarred heavy weight. I bought it in early ...
