Hi BW, Don't know about a DIY decat - no doubt it would require a bespoke 2-into-1 section in its place. Are Y=pieces available, as per 11S? Was wondering if anyone has ever modded the standard R1200S headers and removed the cat in one way or another?
Obviously there must be a performance gain, but do de cat headers fail an mot?
Any thoughts appreciated

The TL I had new, sold it then bought it back in 2010 for £1400. I'm the 1st and 11th owner its far from tidy but has huge sentimental value. I'll never sell it.

I have both the bikes you're talking of. I've had the TL for years, and while the TL will show the R1200s a clean pair of heels any day of the week the BMW is by far a better road bike.
