Should've popped in for a cuppa as you will have passed within a mile of me assuming you went up the A5 to Holyhead.

Yes I did Steve and I used to have the BM insurance till I found out by going direct to Devitt it was quite a bit cheaper. Cutting out the BMW middle man profit I guess. No I wasn't uninsured on our Scottish trip. They cancelled it afterwards, but backdated the date till before the trip. I gave up a...

Devitt insurance brokers

Warning Renewed my policy when I bought the R1200S from Andy Griff to cover two bikes (R1100S as well). They asked for extra information - proof of no clams and a copy of my driving licence. As my insurance had already been with them last year, I phoned to say they already had the info and they insi...

Bit of a come-down after you decided you needed an R1200S in the garage and gave me grief for buying Andy's from under your nose!

Getting serious ready for next year's Flash tour are we?

Cheers John

Greg Stick the bikes in a van and save the track day rubber for where it is most useful - don't waste it on the motorways, then have to buy new tyres to get back home. You will be a lot fresher too. Bruno You have found the best way to learn the 'Ring by doing the bike specific training courses. Eve...

Thanks guys but I have helibars on the bike so the Hornig Ram ball won't fit.
There is no slot in the top yoke (has a plastic insert) so I can't use the u bolt arrangement either.
Map pocket in the tank bag looks favourite at the moment.

My Dainese jacket was dry and warm for about 12 years till it leaked in Scotland's 50mph horizontal rain last year.

Replacement Rukka seems to be ok so far, but it's still got 11 years to go to beat the Dainese kit.

Just had a 70 mile spin out on my new acquisition R1200S too. Smoother low down, but more vibes mid-range and up, than the 11S. Brakes feel about the same but slightly better (I guess from the 10KG weight saving), and feels lighter to ride and maneouver. A nice amount more torque and throttle respon...

Oulton Trackday

Anyone booked onto the Oulton Park roadbike only trackday on August 5th?

I did half consider it, as I haven't done one for a few years, but they are fully booked now.

I might take a run up to have a watch and a chat.

- don't think you're going to get the chance of his boots, he looks like he will fully recover on the industrial strengh meds.

But I did nick a Classic bike mag he had finished reading.

Just seen Steve in civilised afternoon visiting hours (well it is Wales) and he is improving.
Still looks very second hand and is not his usual self, but was told they may be letting him back home, possibly tomorrow.
Then a week at home recuperating before he can go back to work.
