Re: Richard Joyce

Morning fellas, Thanks so much for the well-wishes, it's been a slightly tricky week to put things mildly. Been doing a lot of walking recently without a murmur - including a week's holiday up in Northumberland with the family (including the mad hound) where we spent most of each day climbing dunes,...

Re: Jacks Hill Cafe, Towcester, Sunday June 9

Apologies fellas (especially to Paul who texted me about the meet-up) but I won't be able to make it tomorrow.

Hope you have a good one.

Re: Sad News

Hi Peter - I don't frequent the forum much these days, but Paul texted me last night with this sad news. So sorry to hear of Alan's passing, and of course wish you strength and what will be a terribly difficult time. Alan was very high on my list of truly great people to have known over the years, a...

Re: Post your pets

Nice looking pup Richard, don't see too many of them around, we are on our third Golden Retriever, if yours is as strong willed as ours you are in for some "fun" :D Hope you are well, Al. We're doing ok thanks, Al - trust you are too. :) We've waited a long time to get another dog, making...

Re: Shocked

Apologies, Steve - not been on here reading stuff for a while so only saw this post yesterday. What a truly bloody awful thing to happen - glad you're (reasonably!) ok. But of course get checked out, and keep following things up with the quacks. A little story about some dog-thieving pikeys from a f...

Re: Sad news

Oh and Gromit, sorry do you mean Tuesday 12th or Wednesday 13th December? Sincere apologies, I meant the weds (13th). I'm hopeless with dates! I'll amend my previous post to alleviate any confusion. Would really like to have got to Mick's funeral (although I have no bike to ride, sadly) but our Chr...

Re: Sad news

Helena - Mick's daughter - has been in touch with me with details of her dad's funeral. It's to be held at Bretby Crem on wednesday 13th December at 10.30 am. We realise it's a bit of a long-shot but she wondered if there was any chance of having a couple of folk on bikes to escort the cortege on th...

Sad news

Folks,

Just had the terribly sad news, from Bev's Facebook feed, that Mick Finch passed away last night after his year-long battle with Cancer.

I've met many great people over many years of motorcycling, and Mick was definitely one of the best. A bloody good photographer too.

Sleep well, my friend.

Beautiful Autumn

A local farmer, who's a friend of ours and one who has a keen eye on weather patterns (he needs to for his job, of course) said some time ago that we were in for particularly beautiful Autumn colours this year. He was spot on. https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4559/37430936404_7e290509b4_b.jpg Thick &a...

Re: RIOTD...

This gorgeous chap is the reason I couldn't make sunday's Jack's Cafe meet-up. He's Jasper - a great big, soppy, loveable bundle of fur & fun. The sad news is that he was recently diagnosed with a terminal illness and our good friends (who own him) asked me to pop over on sunday to take some pic...
