Re: Newbie in FNQ Australia
Few weeks yet till I pick mine up, just best option logistic wise.
Its a 2hr flight and then about 45 min drive to get there, doesnt sound far but every two weeks I fly 3.5hrs to get to work and then 4.5 with 1hr wait on my way home.
it will be a two day ride home at least

Re: Ueli Steck
i dont know much about him but was aware of him and what he had done, saw a film about his speed run up the Eiger at the Banff Film Festival a few years ago.
Unfortunatly we dont hear of people like him too often because they are not mainstream.

I think you just wanted an excuse to have whisky, that wasnt a very long ride.......
(if its less than 30 km, it doesnt count)
(I dont do strava but let me see next week what I can pull from my other tracks and Garmin)
Is there a cycling thread on here?

Re: Stupid Boy!
A very good friend of mine rode his Honda shadow to the local bicycle shop and parked out the front. Got what he needed and headed back out. Bike wouldn't start. Of course by now you know where this is going. He went through the usual checks and concluded the battery. Nearby is an independant moto d...

Re: Whisky
i generally avoid blends and drink it straight usually (and often from the bottle too - because travelling its too hard to carry glasses) I cant sip whisky, I dont gulp it back, but I like a good mouth full, to get the taste and flavours. Often when I ahve been out cycling on a long one, i will have...

Pretty sure that this starter is used on Moto Guzzi as well. Re: Whisky
Not less than AU$80!
I REALLY like the Glenfiddich Oak range and there are some great New Zealand whiskys as well, so clean and fresh.
I have a few bottles stashed for a rainy day..... and some to share as well
