R1200RS - Anyone hada ride yet?

Been down to Williams in Manchester to look at F800GTs for Madam and they had an RS in.

I have booked a ride in a couple of weeks.

It is a massive shame on this country that we do not support the maintenance of flying examples of our jet aircraft heritage. Unlike the guys in the USA. I had the privilege to meet and chat to the guy in the video below last weekend on a little airfield in Maryland. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Though I couldn't find any pictures the wire lengths from the grips and the aux look/fusebox led me to put the connectors under the fuel tank when I fitted the heated grips

I seem to remember when I fitted my heated grips that there is a bit of the RH controls that needs to be removed but wasn't entirely obvious....seem to remember it is underneath the bars. Once this is removed it is possible to turn the throttle tube to be point where it can be released from the grip...

Local Yamaha dealer had a demo in that I took for a spin today. Very nice bike, tractable engine, decent handling and brakes. Heated grips are an official option. Riding position and seat are comfy. It's a shame that the yamaha panniers are small and unlike bikes such as the F800 or R1200 have a 'fr...

After all the talk of VFR1200s I thought I'd have a good look at the bike and have been for test rides on DCT and manual options. Very disappointed with the DCT and almost figure that there must have been something wrong with it but the dealer said not. Notchy gear change, both up and down. Downshif...
