Re: Welsh Weekend 2017 version 2

Looking good. Wish I was going. Hope everyone has a great time. Last time I went to Criccieth someone set fire to my underpants. Those were the days!- we all had a bit to drink (I recall lots of whiskey chasers) and when a load of drunk Black Country lads get together, mayhem will ensue! - lucky th...

Re: You learn from your mistakes

I agree with Andy - Any witnesses make the process a whole lot easier. I was knocked off in May 2016, I didn't receive a penny from his insurers until January 2017 a week before it was due in court!. I don't ride anywhere without the helmet cam running these days!

Re: Naked Fun

I have an '05 R1150R, which I commute on Monday-Friday and do around 50 miles a day on. It handles Motorway, A-roads and B-roads like a charm and is unusual enough to still get the looks. My bike doesn't have ABS so is as simple as it comes and has enough power to be fun, the only thing I don't like...

Pulse Jet Ignition

This is not a new idea, Honda played around with this in their CVCC car engine in the 70's using a pre-compustion chamber but have not seen this on a motorcycle. This chap wanted to use an airhead boxer engine in a light aircraft and needed to get around the issue of cooling, played around with some...

What is your oil level like- could be too high? If you get the issue again, try this: - Remove the plugs and then try and crank the motor over on the starter, the motor should free up and turn over faster and faster, don't turn it over too much though only until it sounds a normal speed, now install...

I think the 850 has a cable clutch (my 1150 is hydraulic), if so I would start here with re-adjustment before looking at more expensive options.
