Good eyes Ron, it's an ultrasonic roo/wallaby, old lady deterrant. They emit a high frequency pattern of ultrasonic sounds approximately 40 metres either side of the vehicle and projecting some 400 metres to the front of vehicle over 50 km/h.

They are a resident Pod, as there is so much food in the area, and the Pod matriach was 100 yrs old we were told!
