Hello All I have got a problem with my 53 Twinspark R1100s Around 2000 revs on opening throttle the engine will cut out / stutter/ not accelerate. It has been recently been serviced fully - new filters, plugs, valves checked, throttles balanced. It had new stick coils at 40000 miles Apart from that ...

I have recommended the the route to someone biking down from Scotland, and now cannot remember where to send him :lol:

No problems at all right through winter unless its slippy. Had to have bike recovered a few months back due a corroded connector to fuel pump (it is under the tank and worth checking). Apart from that and set of swing arm bearings, everything is fine. :)

I never lost the front on the bmw at any point in a bend, but I have on other bikes, its a numb sensation , but its very safe. (for a bike)

Great stuff, very impressive. While there is loads of unsprung mass on the bimmer, that doesnt affect the suspension much on the smooth track, but surely gives the benefit under heavy braking right to the apexes !

Guys Is there any special kind of lacquer I should use to respray my hugger, its looking really tatty. I hope there is something good, I used the lacquer spray can from Halfords and within a year it looks worse than before :D There there's the swing arm bearings to do, the paralever bearings to do ....

I was lucky again a few weeks back- got invited to Brands again courtesy of Swan yamaha and their hospitality - brilliant day out thanks to some dry weather. Tommy's getting on well but Shakey had a great day again, he is certainly great to watch
