R1100S with all extras you'd want

Postby victorlaszlo » Mon Feb 19, 2018 12:30 pm

Up for sale is my beloved all-rounder bike, due to possible relocation abroad shortly.

Not only have I ridden this bike around France twice with my girlfriend (without complaints) but I have maintained, cherished and upgraded it with the intentions of keeping it forever. Last ride to Wales and back, 500 miles in 24 hours 2 up.

It's a low mileage bike with nothing but the occasional age related blemish but over all it's visual appearance is fantastic. With a top box it's a great ride to work, naked it's a fantastic C-road killer and with the factory and key-matched panniers you can go as far as your bum allows.

Specs:

New Ohlins rear shock
Full stainless Remus exhaust system which not only eliminates the cat but also has an X-piece rather than Y-piece from the headers - sounds absolutely amazing.
Original exhaust available as well as cat
Recently changed rear tyre, test winner Dunlop Roadsmart 3 dual compound
Original seat cover available
Rear carbon fibre hugger protecting the Ohlins from road spray (fitted since photos were taken)
Rear rack with monokey plate
Full hard luggage, key matched
Heated grips
No abs (can cost you thousands in repair when they fail, which they do)
No leaks from engine, no engine oil burn
USB plug to charge phone/GPS + BMW Bosch DIN outlet
Full 24.000 miles service just carried out, including the dreaded fuel and air filter change
Wide rear rim
Cylinder head protectors included but not fitted
Upgraded stainless brake lines for improved brake feeling and reliability

And much more I can't remember

It's of course a used bike so have the occasional imperfection and some common pitting on fork legs which can easily be touched up, but this bike will likely go to the first viewer (and will break my heart parting with her). Mileage around 24.000 (will double check next time at the garage)

For any questions just let me know.

10% non refundable deposit on sale and balance in cash when picking up.

The bike is available in central/north London for viewings and while the MOT just expired I will MOT it on agreed deal.

Very nice. Personally, I'm not in the market for one at the moment, but how much are you asking for it?

Good luck with the sale.

Paul
You really need only two tools: WD-40 and duct tape. If it doesn't move and it should, use WD-40. If it moves and shouldn't, use the tape.

I'm not sure what is reasonable to be honest... But around 3200 feels realistic considering how much I would get for the extras if I took it back to standard and sold everything, including bike, separately, but don't really have the time to do that... Let me know if you think this price point is completely delusional.
