R1200S Exhaust wanted

Postby Dids » Thu May 04, 2017 7:20 pm

Bought my R1200S last year which came with the standard exhaust.
I'm very happy with the performance, but it does sound a little anaemic compared to my R1100S .
Thinking of fitting an aftermarket exhaust - probably something that slips onto the header pipes (that is pretty easy to do isn't it?).
Might consider a full system but am a little wary of breaking off the studs if I try to remove the headers.
Just wondered if anyone might have something far sale?
Cheers

Looks like you can still get full Akropovic systems new http://www.carpimoto.com/en-AU/Bike_BMW ... -2006-.htm

Think that it might no longer be in stock, if you try to buy it you get this message - "The selected quantity is higher than the quantity in stock. Availability for this quantity is Until Stock lasts"

Not sure that I want to spend over £1,000 on an exhaust though.

Looks like you have a slip on Akropovic on your R1200S - is it fairly easy to fit a replacement slip on exhaust to the R1200S?

Easy to fit but still expensive for the slip on end can - search Ebay - you can still get the end can but not the full system. You can get Remus headers with out the cat but I think in total it will be around£1500
