I've tried to get on with the bike but I just can't. It doesn't fit me essentially in a few ways. So it's up for sale and I'd like it to go to someone who will respect it as much as the previous owner Mick (Merecat) did. As you all know it has some sentimental value, so it's important it goes to the right person.

It's a 2001 R1100S in very good condition having covered only 16000 miles from new (Just 1000m per year). I'm the second owner and it's just had a service, valve clearances and iridium plugs. It has a K&N filter conversion, decat, an MRA touring screen, wunderlich peg lowering kit, Ilmburger hugger, BMW centre cap for rear wheel and Venhill brake lines. It's got stacks of history and three keys. It will be sold with a brand new set of tyres (Avon Storm 3D X-M). The current Michelin Pilot road 2 still have plenty of tread but are getting on a bit, so the new ones are ready and waiting to be fitted. It has the connector wired in for a TomTom Rider 400 series satnav. It starts, runs and rides great. The engine is now really smooth too after regular throttle body syncs. It will come with the homemade service stand pictured too.

Thanks Dave. They’re a marmite bike but much to like about them. Just doesn’t work for me.

Updated listing. I’m only looking for offers over £2500 now as it’s going to end up being part exchanged otherwise.
I really need a bike I can ride and this one deserves to be ridden and loved.
