R1100S Ohlins rear shock

Rear shock in good overall condition, but will need a service. No chips on yellow paint. All adjusters work fine. It was fine when I boxed it some years ago but on inspection today it appears to have leaked some oil. Maybe it didn't like being left on it's side for so long. I bought it used from this parish in 2009 with an alleged 4k miles on it. I have put a further 10k max on it.

Taking into account that it shall need a service, I am looking for £220 inc postage. If you can get one, these are/were £750

This looks like oil on the pipe from the preload adjuster. It's not. It's just shiny plastic.

17mins...................

Not surprising, really

Keeps the rubber/tarmac interface longer.

Yeah, I could probably have got more for it on Ebay but I would really rather someone on the forum got a good deal. That's what these places are supposed to be about. It was good value when i bought it. It should be good value when I sell it.

Thanks for posting the pics - I've sent them off to the chap quoting me on rebuilding my Ohlins to R1100S spec for his info.
Dead handy you doing that and great that someone here gets a bargain (once its rebuilt).

Steve, thank you.

Picked up a box of yellow shininess from the Post Office this lunchtime. :D

I have chatted with Kais Suspension in Atherton, Manchester who are going to do the service and will drop off later today or first thing tomorrow morning.

Hoping that they can get it done sharpish so I can get it fitted.
