Your one and only best pic.

Postby eyore » Wed Mar 05, 2014 10:27 am

Of all the hundreds of pics taken on bikes, yesterday I managed my best all time photo. The right angle, the right light and the right background. Afraid it was just a cheap little£60 compact camera. Nonetheless for your delectation. 8) Bloomin shame |I forgot to remove the tankbag, can anyone photoshop it out???

Niiiiice pic' eyore. One of the pleasures of owning a bike is, when not actually riding it, just staring at it and, when it's not physically there, staring at photo's of it. I note, judging by the narrowness of your front wheel 'chickin strips' (always a better indicator than any on the rear wheel) you've not been shy about allowing the world and his dog an uninterrupted view of your bottom........spoiler. As I said; Niiiiiiice.

Oh, and nice one 2 Ned.

Mr. Spock is my role model so be advised; I possess no (discernible) sense of humour.

It's all VFR (DCT) round here now. STILL missing my 1100s tho.

Cheers Nick, nice to give him a bit of a workout while dodging the farmers deposits that are usually on blind bends. :x

eyore,
What do you think of the tank bag,
Been looking (on line) at one from my K1300s, the problem is I have my sat nav
on the head stock bolt and not sure if I would be able to see it.

They are excellent Ned,really well made . That model is the Vina QL is only 9 litres expanded and dosen't block my view of the sat nav which is also on the headstock, however bear in mind the filler cap is quite far back on the R12S. The attachment system works a treat and there is nothing to rub or mark paintwork. If you have a few bikes you can buy filler cap attachment rings seperately and just swap the bag between bikes.

Nice pic. These are great looking bikes (as long as you don't look head on).

I like the effect of the grooves in the concrete as well. Personally I don't mind the tank bag. That together with the mud on the hunger reminds you that this is a bike to be ridden.

What a difference the old 5cm crepe bandage wrapped around the headers and soaked in Wonder Wheels makes! leave it to soak for half an hour then remove, no rubbing or scrubbing required.
et voila!
